Senior Pakistani actor Masood Akhtar was born in 1940 in Sahiwal, Pakistan. His studies took him to Lahore, Gujranwala, and Rawalpindi. His father wanted him to become a barrister, but he had a different dream. Masood Akhter began his acting career in the early sixties as a stage actor and moved to Karachi in 1967. In the 1970s, He gained fame by performing one of his plays at Alhamra Arts Council, “Paisa Bolta Hai“. Masood Akhter started working in Pakistani Television center Lahore in the mid-seventies and rose to fame in 1980.

He was married and lived in Lahore Pakistan with his family. His father was an army doctor. His family consisted of his wife, two daughters, and a son, Ali Raza.
