He began his acting career with a Pashoto drama in 1971. He marked his debut in Urdu drama with Aik Tha Gaoon in 1973. As a debutant in Pashto movies, he made his first film, Zama Jang, in 1988. Moreover, in Urdu movies, he made his film Dakait with talented director Syed Noor in 2001. Aside from that, he also starred in the Bollywood film Baby in 2015 alongside Akshay Kumar, Anupam Kher, and Madhurima Tuli.
In 2009, he was also honored with the pride of the performance award for his superb acting and outstanding abilities for the Pakistan entertainment industry.
