Born on March 3, 1992, Shawn was the middle child in his family, with one older brother and one younger sister. His journey began at Shepherd Hill Regional High School, where his love for music and performance blossomed. After switching from saxophone to guitar and piano in middle school, Shawn’s musical talent shone.
After high school, Shawn pursued his passion for music at UMASS Lowell. Moreover, he even joined a cappella group called “Hawkapella” and starred as “Collins” in the musical “Rent.” Later, he found his place at Greenwood Industries, rising from a warehouse worker to an Estimator, where his knack for numbers shone.
Shawn’s zest for life, sense of humor, and kindness touched everyone he met. He excelled in sports, particularly hockey and lacrosse, and was a devoted fan of Boston’s sports teams. The Worcester community was stunned when Shawn died in a car crash on Interstate 395 in Oxford. The accident occurred around 10 p.m., involving a 1998 Jeep Wrangler SUV driven by Shawn. The Jeep veered off the road, hit a tree, and burst into flames, tragically taking Shawn’s life.

As for Shawn Marengo’s funeral, the service will be held at High Pointe Church in Thompson, CT, on October 14, 2023.
